How ironic is it that a woman who sued the gov. over Obamacare had to declare bankruptcy due to medical bills?

See if you follow this logic…a woman becomes the lead plaintiff in a case which argues that she should not be required to have health insurance i.e. Obamacare. Unfortunately – shortly thereafter – she falls on hard times and needs to be admitted to a hospital. But because she has no health insurance – she can’t pay for the services that she is required to receive by law (hospitals must treat sick people).

She claims bankruptcy and leaves $4,500 in unpaid medical bills effectively transferring over those costs to another person who is paying health insurance.

HOW totally true. i can understand her not realizing the Irony ,BUT WHAT I CANNOT UNDERSTAND IS THE MAYORITY OF THE US THAT ARE AGAINST IT. eventually we will get universal health care coverage. WE MUST OTHERWISE WE WILL GO BROKE , from the insurance and paying for health care. if the republicans win they will all be for a form of obama care. Truth known, the exact same "care" would have cost about $500 anywhere else in the world regardless of WHO pays or HOW.

That's the problem. I don't have insurance and will NOT buy any until the cost issue is dealt with.

I paid less than a tenth for better care in a foreign country with NO govt medical care. That was 20 years ago.
