How long after the 14 day eviction notice?

Postby golding » Wed Jul 25, 2012 3:36 am

I had rent due July first I could only pay $200. I asked him if we could pay the rest of July and August rent on the 1st of August. I just got a new job and you know they hold your first paycheck so I wont have money till a little later. He said if I dont pay on the 1st I will get my eviction notice. Fine but then being nice I texted him a couple days ago(17th) and asked if I could pay it on the 7th because of my check being held.He came over with a 14 day eviction notice so now instead of getting the eviction notice on the 1st I got it on the 17th which makes me have to move out by the 1st in stead of 14 days after the 1st(Aug 15th).

I moved to Wisconsin from another state and have no family or friends. I have no security deposit and first month rent YET! So how long does the process usually take when he takes me to court?

There is no time after an eviction notice. The notice is very clear on that.

You have 14 days to pay or clear out.
