How much jail time for an unpaid $1000 traffic ticket?

I got a speeding ticket in Galveston Texas in 2007. We are now in 2011 and the tiket went up to $1000 since I didn't take care of it at the time. I don't have the money so I was thinking about sitting it out in jail. WOuld anybody know how much time would it be?

you know that you STILL have to pay the ticket even after jail time.........

Work out a payment plan and get it sorted.

About 50 dollars a day per day in jail. If you get lucky you get "2 for 1" days and get 100 per day off. So do that math and your time will show. Also you could try doing community service instead of jail to pay off fine/fees of court/police.
