No. You won't go to jail in Florida, as your by now certain Bench Warrant is from New Mexico. So, if you're ever pulled over, stopped, or try to get a license in Florida, your warrant will be flagged, you'll be arrested, and extradited back to New Mexico to go to jail. The warrant would be national, but you'd be taken back to the State that issued it.

"will it be taken off my record by a certain time if i don't get pulled over? "

No. A warrant for arrest doesn't go away until you deal with it or you're arrested on it.

Best thing to do is to call the state and ask what to do.

I had a friend who did the same thing. We called and asked how she can clear it and pay the fine. They not only sent her the bill but gave her a break for coming forward and doing the right thing.
They want to get it off the records too.

Now all the states are connected with the computers, etc. Not like the good old days when you just moved and forgot about it. It will catch up to you. I don't know how old you are now and when it happened what your age was. However, best to just bite the bullet and try to be responsible.
If all you did was speeding and no damage, etc. It should be a piece of cake to fix this.

Get yourself ready to call. Ready to pay. Call and tell them what you did and how old you were and that you want to clear it up now and make it right. Tell them you are in another state. Ask what will happen to you and what you will owe. Ask for the bill.

It's hanging over your head. Get it over with and then you can move on and forget. Believe me! You are not the worse crook out there. They will help you and they will be happy to get this off the books too.

If your tickets were given to you in another state, your driving privilege in that state will be suspended/revoked, making it a criminal offense for you to drive in any state which you could be arrested for until you pay your fines or your suspension/revocation expires (in my state it's 10 or more years I think).

If it was in Mexico, the U.S. doesn't care. Why would the U.S. care that you committed traffic laws in other countries when their laws may not even be the same? The vary slightly from state to state, but are generally the same, so it matters if it was a different state.
