How much trouble can someone get into for burning a title to a car cuz they got pissed at you for something very ridiculous? How can I prove they even had it to burn it? I gave my title to some friend mom of mine to file do I wouldn't lose it and they did till they hit really pissed and thought they could to whatever they wanted with my property..what can I do or will the judge even look at it or even consider the case if I did file a law suite? How much trouble can they get into?

You can sue them for the cost of replacing the title... so, $15 or whatever.

Why not just file for a new title and stop dealing with this person? Simple solution. You would be wasting the time of lots of people filing charges.

About all you can do is sue in small claims court for the cost of a replacement title. Which, at most, is about $100 at the DMV. You'd be better off just dropping this person as a friend and getting a safety deposit box at your bank to keep valuable documents in.

Contact the DMV for a replacement.
