I Got A Letter From My Law School Thanking Me For My Gift. Point Is, I Did Not Contribute To Them! Must I Let Them Know?

I Acquired A Letter From My Law School Thanking Me For My Gift. Point Is, I Did Not Contribute To Them! Must I Let Them Know?

Especially since you claim you never ever intend to contribute as time goes by.   Or, LOL, you may question them just how a lot you provided as a tax-deduction so it can be taken by you.   Substantially, if you make contact with them, there is no telling just how significantly far more puzzled they'll turn out to be.  Overlooking them, I feel, may possibly be the quickest strategy to get them to avert calling you period.  Today, if you prepared to possess any affiliation with them as time goes by, that may possibly alter factors.  But you do not - just ignore them and hope they will go away.  If they maintain providing you stuff, throw it, recycle it, destroy it for kitty-litter, whichever strikes your fancy.   It may actually be regarded a tactic by them to try and get alumnae to lead - performing like they assume you at present did.  I've received communication from charities like this "...we discovered you did not renew your membership this year..." when I've not been an associate in JUST ABOUT ANY year!!

get in touch with them.   Good Afternoon Rickisgirl,   After all, it is their mistake and NOT Your doing. You also can't take the credit for a gift that wasn't Yours in all honesty. Besides, if You ignore them and allow this 'credit' gift to remain on Your record - it may come back to 'haunt' You later on in life. My best advise IS TO tell them You didn't donate any money. They will note Your Honesty. At least You'll feel better too.   Have a Nice Day.

Somebody has database problems!!! Yeah, you ought to let them know they've got a problem, although someone else may have beaten you to it... if they donated more than their letter said.
