I got a speeding ticket with failure for liscense, can I go see the judge anytime and fight the ticket?

I do have a liscense with me, I just didnt have it at the time & I want to prove it & show it to the judge.
on the paper it say I got a court date on the 12 of january, But Im not gonna be living in this country anymore by then because Im leaving soon to study abroad.
can I go see the judge anytime and fight the ticket? or does it have to be jan 12?

You can request they reschedule the hearing, however I suspect there will not be an earlier opening.
