I have a warrant in a state i have never been to.?

** warrant in a state i have never been to** for posession of marijuana

I have never been to IA, I live in GA. I was told during a traffic stop that i have a warrant.

I have a job opportunity that requires me to have no open cases (it hasnt been a problem so i havent dealt with it, its been about 2 years).

I suspect it was a former room mates boyfriend. (they were from indiana and moved back).

i need to resolve this immediately, but all the calls ive made they say "we cant give you any information over the phone bc we cant prove your identity over the phone" I am willing to drive and turn myself in, if it would take only a week or so to get it resolved (only have 1 month before job)
questions:
1: can it be resolved through an attorney and me not have to travel?
2: roughly how much would that attorney be?
3: If i do turn myself in, can i get a court date very soon, insteadof few months? I am crunched for time, and cant be out of town that long?
4: any other way to resolve this quickly?

Just turn yourself in and do your jail time. You will be arrested upon turning yourself in, you will be booked in, you will be arraigned, have your trial, get sentenced to jail time, then you will do some jail time, then get released.

IA is Iowa, not Indiana.

1. Yes, probably
2. Expensive. Expect to pay at least couple hundred-few hundred dollars
3. If you were to turn yourself in, the court would likely find you guilty and sentence you to jail and you would be stuck in jail in another state.
4. You would need to call the county's circuit clerk and ask them information regarding the arrest, warrant, etc.
