water and it won't hurt anything. He feels that he has the right to run the water and that it's non-invasive. Consequently, it is very invasive. I want to know what I should do to resolve this and I've asked twice since being here in two years, for him not to run his water because I'm coming in and out and it's all over my property and I have to run into it periodically. I'm not willing to negotiate because we've had words over this issue and I'm tired and want to go above and beyond to resolve legally.

Is that really an issue to take the guy to court for?

A judge would dismiss your case as being frivolous.

So you want to involve the courts because your driveway is getting wet? Nice, our tax dollars are well spent.

If his actions are causing actual damage (not just inconvenience), feel free to sue for those damages.

Oh, wait: you are a renter, so any damage is not to YOUR property anyway. If your landlord doesn't care, you are SOL.

Really? REALLY?

WHAT exactly is the difference between his artificial RAIN and actual RAIN? Either way, your driveway gets WET, so as they say, "Where's the beef?"

You have NO LEGAL recourse for him causing an artificial rain to fall which happens to land on your driveway...

YOU are being unreasonable and a dweeb... You ought to thank the guy for watering YOUR lawn adjacent to your driveway... After all, HE is paying for the water that ends up on YOUR property!

WHAT? Are you serious?

You have no course of action here.

It is water, the stuff that falls out of the sky, do you plan on suing the weather person too every time it rains?

You are suffering no damage, no loss, it isn't even your property (You rent it)

Your neighbor ought to sue you for being a JERK

The problem is that if you take him to court you have to prove damages.
You have to show how his bad habit has caused you specific financial damages.
Receipts and such.

Now the bigger problem is he owns that house and you are just a renter.
Who do you think the authorities are going to side with?
