i moved to az 3 days ago with a Maryland license(no motorcycle classification). i purchased a 50cc motor scooter, under the impression i needed no special license or anything, just register it with the MVD. i looked up the laws after i made the purchase (smart, i know) and saw that i needed an m-classification on my license, insurance and registration. i am staying with my family for the time being soi dont have any kind of bill to prove my actual residency in az. idk if i even need anything like that in az.....help?

Yes, you have to prove residency to obtain an AZ license. You will have to take a written and riding skills test to get your motorcycle endorsement.

It's as simple as going to the DMV in Az. and take their test. Riding and written.
