U should try cutting down ur alcohol intake, its a depressant and is making u feel worse in the longterm... Also drugs is not the answer, they make things worse; cloud ur judgement, could land u in prison and can severly effect ur mental health with things like psychosis and severe depression. Stay away from drugs trust me..... Also visit yourlifeyourvoice.org to talk to a free online councellor. look up exercise and depression online it releases endorfins which improve mood and brain chemistry. and Art Therapy; channelling what ur feeling into something creative helps ur brain process the negativity in ur head. also find some volunteer work; helping others or nature builds selfesteem, gives life new meaning gives perspective and good karma... u dont have to believe in god but finding some spirituality can really help and good karma is a good start... basically research all u can on depression then when u find things that help come on here and share with the other deprrssed people, more good karma. good luck. Why not join clubs groups are and activities outside of school where you ll meet like minded people. Or challenge urself by joining groups u wouldnt normally be interested in..
If you really and truly want to help yourself, then start taking you medicine again. You can also contact your town's mental health association(or even through your towns hospital).Call them,.explain your situation as well as your financial problems.MANY counseling agencies provide services free of charge, and work on a "sliding scale" basis. You don't need to take your clothes off if you really are struggling financially. If you have had a work history, you would qualify for either unemployment benefits or even disability(there is short term disability as well as long term, depending on your diagnosis and the treating doctor you see).If you never worked a real job,and had money taken out of your check to pay for taxes, long term government programs, etc, you will still qualify at ANY hospital or counseling center for "Charity" care. All this stuff is available...but its up to YOU to reach out, take the first step, and just DO IT.
Oftentimes depression becomes so overwhelming, you become a victim to it,it paralyzes you,you don't feel like doing anything...not even getting out of bed, eating or drinking, paying your bills, interacting with others in life. When you get this low,you and only you can make a decision. You are the only one to choose-do you want to get better or do you really want to stay in this awful state you are in? I think it is obvious...you DO want help, otherwise you would not have written in here.Taking 5 minutes out of your day to write to yahoos Q & A, shows that you still want to feel better.Reading the answers that come in...another hour,at least. So knowing that you STILL want to get help, here are your answers.Almost all suggest taking your meds.,so that is where you need to begin.Knowing it usually takes 2 full weeks before anti-depressants start to do their job, requires patience too,but at least its a start. After you re-start your meds, I'm pretty certain you will start to feel even a little better, enough that you can get yourself out of bed and get some decent food inside you.Little by little.Baby steps. You didn't get this way overnight,so don't expect to feel 100% better overnight,it doesn't work like that. One day at a time.Do it, stop yourself from spiraling further into depression, and when you can...GET HELP from a decent Mental Health professional, one you can really talk to.Good luck-there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
