I want to be a lawyer, what should i do?

I am really interested in being a criminal defense lawyer.
I want to defend the people that are being accused of crimes such as robbery, murder etc.
I graduated high school in 2010 and am beginning college in the fall.
I was looking for more information on what degrees/majors/minors I should be looking at for this kind of law.
Also i was wondering on what colleges I should be looking at for this specific field.

A criminal justice undergrad before law school would be great for this type of career. One thing that is important is that unlike TV there is no money in defending criminal cases. Most of these people have zero money so you end up working for chump change.

just go in 4 year collage/university and get a lawyer degree...
