I had a breast lift with implants on 12/3/2007. It was a disaster! My right breast is way larger than the left. The left implant was put in wrong (a lot higher than the right). The left breast hangs substantially lower than the right one, and my breast are square! The stitches on my right breast came undone causing a 1 1/2" scar under the breast, which looks horrible. The right breast developed an infection, and when I went back to his office, he didn't know why the incision kept opening. He never advised me about going to a medical doctor....I just went on my own, and that when I was informed that it was infected!

I can't get a lawyer to take my case to court b/c they say my injury isn't severe enough!

I've tried to settle the dispute with the doctor, but he wants to do another surgery for an additional $1200.00, when I'm already paying off a loan of $10,000.00 for the initial surgery! I shouldn't have to pay anything, especially b/c he admitted he did the surgery wrong!

Just wanted you to know you are not going throughthis alone. I am in a very similar situation. I had implants done in 2000. One has ruptured, leaving a horrid deformity. I have had the same response when calling attorneys.I am also left to come up with $4,000 to fix the problem even though the company that manufactured the implants has a life time guarantee- they will only pay for the new implants themselves. I am lucky right now not to have an infection, but maybe you could try attorneys who sue under failure to diagnose because maybe the problem could have bee less severe if the infection had been diagnosed. I am also going to turn in the doctor who did mine to the American Board of Plastic Surgeons for ethical issues. I even thought about running an add in the paper with his name and letting every one know just how ethical he is. I tried news stations but had no luck. People just do not think this kind of thing is a big deal-until they go through it.Please keep in touch and let me know if you have found any help and I will do the same for you. Good luck and you are in my prayers!
