If a person steals $500 from you, it's a felony. What if a corporation/person steals $500 or a million?

No felony then? But I thought they were people, too. Oh wait, they are people for tax purposes but not actual citizens. Now how come they aren't citizens but getting tax breaks? Or are they citizens but above the law?

This whole citizens united ruling has really muddied up the logic and common sense portion of American politics... as if it existed prior!

From what I've heard Citizens United is something to be genuinely feared ... by citizens!

Corporations effectively employ the people that make the laws.

In an adversarial legal system, like Western society's, if you can afford expensive legal representation, than you can do almost anything. A good legal team will get anybody off almost any charge.

How many times do we see our "news" media filled with stories about young people simply trying to enjoy a joint, while the stories of the reality of Right-wing politics destroying the economy and causing war after war, in which millions of people are killed horribly, remain absent.

This society is Capitalism. Capitalism demands that we make money at any cost (do you see how our planet is dying?) and for those that have that money, the laws do not exist: They REALLY can do anything that they want.

Corporations get sued all of the time. They also get charged with crimes. What are talking about? Can you give an example?
