If someone makes repeated violent threats to bomb and kill Americans, is it illegal?

Postby langford59 » Mon Apr 16, 2012 1:46 pm

On youtube yesterday a certain individual was making numerous threats against America, individuals who confronted him, and a specific band he felt had insulted his country (Canada) by not touring with a Canadian band. His youtube channel is really the reason I have cause for concern because it's actually a little scary. I am wondering if I need to report this to law enforcement and if it is even illegal? No, I am not overreacting. I was provoking him intentionally to get as much information as possible, studying him and analyzing him. He is not simply a wimpy kid retaliating anonymously online because he cannot do it in person. He is disturbed. I would like an answer as soon as possible. I do not want ANY answers if they are not a real attempt to be helpful. I have seen too many people answer questions just to be rude. They are obviously just bored.

Yes, they named a weapon. You can say, I will kill you but you can`t say, I will kill you with my gun or knife or whatever tool named.

Yes id probably report it. If he is acting serious about hurting specific people or even possibly attacking the country then its definitly illegal. Better to report it and find out he's just a punk rather than ignore it and find oit he blows up an embassy 2 months from now.
