I suspect you are correct. And I suspect culture determines which segment of each class determines who is lower middle class, mid-middle class, and upper middle class. Economics places people in the three classes. But the stratification is broader than just the three classes, and that stratification is not determined by money alone.Examples: Education is a factor. Manners are a factor. Lifestyle is a factor. Why do I add lifestyle? Look at some of the so-called reality shows, and some of the wealthy "celebrities who are famous for being famous". Money doesn't bring these people into any level of upper class, whether it's upper middle class or upper class. These people are lower class people with money. charlie95 35 months ago
