Is a sound energy policy a cornerstone of the economy?

Postby maddox » Wed Jul 18, 2012 12:01 pm

Energy is a cornerstone issue when we speak of the economy.

Bill Clinton was right. "The economy, stupid! (phrase by James Carville, 1992, delivered by Bill Clinton)

Obama "It's the economy, stupid!" (paraphrase of Bill Clinton) and the associated energy policies that are hurting the American worker with high unemployment levels and consumers with energy and consumer goods high prices.

Obstructionist democrats over the past two decades have left us with no comprehensive energy programs. The current majority in congress continues to obfuscate and obstruct sound energy polices.

It is my opinion that all energy types and sources should be explored. Oil, coal, natural gas, alcohol, nuclear, even failing solar energy systems as sources should all have a place in providing America with energy choices.

America has been monopolized by the Big Oil Corporations since the days of John Rockefeller and his campaign to stop alcohol from going into the tanks of American automobiles (Alcohol Can Be a Gas! David Blume, author), and their PACs, even today, continue to confuse the American people about their energy choices.

I am an energy voter not because I'm an environmentalist but because I believe in fair market competition not unbalanced energy policies and regulations dictated by totalitarian interests.
