Is It Against The Law To Move My Mailbox?

You must obtain approval to move your mailbox You must go down to your local post office and talk with the stationmaster. They will most likely have no problem with you moving the mailbox but must be warned beforehand to avoid any confusion. Some things to keep in mind when moving a mailbox are Make sure that nothing is blocking access to the mailbox. A curbside mailbox must be placed so that the post man has access to it without leaving his/her vehicle. I hope this helps :-) Sources: http://www.montclairsic.org/usps.htm#doestheusps   almerica's Recommendations River's Edge Mailbox(Bass) Amazon List Price: $121.50 If i was getting a mailbox, that's what I would get. almerica 99 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment. Nope It?s not illegal to move it but make sure that the box is where the carrier can get to it. Many times the reason that the box is across the street is because the carrier only makes one pass on your street and will only drop if the box is on the right side of the street.
