I read 100's of ads "for rent" and "for sale" each week in Craigslist and several news papers. I noticed so many times the agent writes a pretty ad but then just says "call mike at 555-867-5309." Sometimes the ads are poorly put together and look like an amateur--a home seller that doesn't write ads much--but there will be something in the ad that gives it way as being an agent like capitalizing strange words, talking about the property in 3rd person, adding phrases like "won't last." I'm not always right, but usually I can tell if I spend enough time analyzing it.
Is this legal to pretend to be a home seller and not list DRE# or at least say they are an agent or the company they work for. If I wanted to clean up my area's Craigslist and newspaper from this practice, how can I report 100's of agents efficiently. I heard if it happens enough they can have their license suspended.
I'm not innocent. I'm an investor going after folks who aren't represented by an agent. Its not efficient to call or other wise reach out to 10 folks you think aren't taken and 8 of them are. If agents would fully disclose I wouldn't waste my time, or theirs for that matter.
