Is it legal to use the biohazard symbol on clothing?

I am interested in making a few shirts with the biohazard symbol. I want to make sure if it is legal or not before i do so. The biohazard symbol patent states that it is free to use however anybody wants, but does this also go for clothing lines? In other words, can the biohazard symbol be used on a clothing line to make a profit?
