Is the US Government getting bargain basement prices from contractors now?

An athletic field at GITMO only cost $750,000 to build. When you consider that KBR charged the government $7 Million to build showers in Iraq that electrocuted troops a working field for only $750,000 is kind of a bargain.

Are Conservatwits aware that federal contracting law requires these jobs to be let out and Federal Contractors are notorious for charging outrageous prices? Have they forgotten about the $900 hammers and $600 toilet seats from the Reagan era?

What do you think Halliburton charges for the All-U-Can-Eat, steak and lobster dinner they serve the troops in the Middle East once a week?
Then they hire Hindus from India for a buck a day to cook it. As the cow was one of their relatives, they feel it is their obligation to cremate the steak before serving it.
My guess is that the best resturant in New York city would charge less for the same meal and it would taste better.

Those federal contracting laws are the responsibility of the politicians who write them, not the contractors.
