Is there a way to make the "R" registered trademark symbol on a keyboard?

Postby orlondo100 » Sun Apr 22, 2012 11:16 am

I'm writing an essay and using the names of some companies trademark items. I was wondering how to type the R with the circle around it to show that it is a registered trademark. Or if it is even possible. Thanks!

Yes! If you're using Windows that is. Press Alt+0174 (using the number pad at the right). Do NOT use the numbers at the top, or it won't work. If you're on a laptop without a number pad, there are ways to do it but I personally don't know.

® is alt-0174 (on numeric pad). There are entire web pages with lists of special character codes, including § alt-0167. If you're using a laptop, use FN-0174.
