Is this right or wrong?

Postby deangelo51 » Sat Jul 21, 2012 12:52 pm

I am a normal kid that is aged 13, 1 day ago i have been offered a really good payable job. ( I speak polish and English) My parents friend offered me a job in translating. I would have to go with my mums friend and help her out in a bank situation. (dealing with a mortgage) I would get £5 per bank and we would go to about 5 banks plus meetings... plus contracts etc... I already have experience because i helped my parents out with a mortgage and also a lot of other things. Would that be againts the law? Would that be right. ( I have the summer holidays so i have a lot of time!)

NO this would not be against the law. It is fine, she needs a translator. This is a good thing to do, paid or not.

I agree, it's good practice for your translation abilities.
You might be able to twist this experience and put it in your CV for the future. e.g. "I have had experience helping other non-english speaking polish people organise and understand english financial instruments and documents.
