No, Reid is claiming someone brought him imformation that was stolen from the government. This needs to be investigated.

No, telling blatant lies about your political opponent is a time honored tradition. You may be surprised to learn your team does it really well, too.

When Democrats lie its considered normal.

"But Reid hasn't named names, and went so far as to admit that he didn't know if his information was accurate." -- Huffington post

The Huffington post and the senator himself have to admit that what Reid said is based on rumors and lies, but Democrats still believe it. Democrats who believe this have officially gone insane and lost all reasoning ability.

Probably not. First of all, it may be true. Second, even if it's not true, he may have good reason to believe it's true. Third, Romney is a public figure.

Seems to me like a clever political ploy. Romney can't refute the claim unless he releases his tax returns, and he doesn't want to do that.

Certainly not
Nobody was considering libel/slander even AFTER Obama showed his cert.
If Romney wants to avoid the accusations all he has to do is reveal the tax returns ... simple. Since he doesn't, he deserves to face this issue at every turn.
I can't believe there are people that would vote for Romney w/o knowing what kind of character those returns would reveal.
Obviously, Romney feels he can't win the election by unveiling what he's hiding. That's enough for me ... I won't consider voting for him.
He's applying for a public servant job but won't submit to the background check ... wtf.

If Romney wants to prove Reid wrong, all he has to do is show us the record. If he insists on hiding his tax records, Reid wins the argument.
