Jet ski accident lawyer needed?

Postby osryd » Fri Jul 27, 2012 12:16 pm

me and my friend were recently in a jet ski accident
i was on the right side of the river stopped waiting for him and he was crossing over from the left side coming towards me, i expected him to turn but he didn't he looked at me and he froze up and drilled right into the side of my jet ski sending me flying into the water and into the ER both jet skis were totaled. now we are going to a court thing to decide whose fault it is. i think it is 100% HIS fault and he should pay for all the damages after being so reckless and careless, there were two kids who also saw the accident and said that it was all his fault. he's also been in 3 accidents with his car and parents cars, one car was even totaled due to him down a windy road. he has had multiple speeding tickets as well. i don't even have so much as a parking ticket on my record.

i heard that the maritime law is that any water vessel traveling within 100 feet of a stopped vessel needs to slow to a minimum of 5 mph. is this true? please help cuz i have no money to pay for something that wasn't my fault
