Lawyers Explain difference between Family Mediation and Collaborative Family Law?

Postby unss94 » Thu Dec 15, 2011 7:16 am

So I am in college studying Business but also doing a Paralegal program. Maybe wanna go to law school, not a 100% sure.
Anyway
What is the difference in Family Mediation and Collaborative Family Law?

This isn't a school question just curious.

Aren't people who do Collaborative law trained Mediators?
But I know not all Mediators do Collaborative law....

Please don't google or wikipedia me an answer...I could do that, but not getting good answers...

ten points best help

Mediation has a neutral third party...CFL uses an attorney representing both sides at the same time.
