Long weekend family vacation ideas?

My family might go on a vacation in June for a long weekend (Thursay - Monday). My husbands whole side of the family together. Thats 3 families and my mother in law. We live in Cape May, New Jersey together in the summer (It is a big house!). We want to stay on the North East. Where can we go that is fun and family-friendly.

The kids ages range from 17-6. And it has to be afordable There are 5 people in my family, 3 in my brother in laws, and 4 in my sister in laws. The kids love swimming, sports. We all love the beach. Where would be a good place for us to go? Thank you in advanced.

Seriously, Cape Cod Massachusetts

great beaches, especially on Cape Cod National Seashore
many nature reserves
lots of shopping and restaurants in most towns
go on a whale watch
min golf
Cape Cod Summer League
head to the Islands for a day
lots of small museums
Woods Hole Aquarium
fishing boating, etc...
