http://network2.tv/ is a good site for finding good internet-only TV shows. From http://www.ventureweek.com/blog/2006/10/03/network-20-your-guide-to-internet-only-tv/:"Being without cable now I am always looking for ways to find good video on the net. It is for this reason that I was very excited to see Jeff Pulver?s latest creation, Network2. Network2 is a collection of TV shows that can only be found on the net and it is categorized in a familiar way making it easy for any one to access. As this is an emerging project I am sure there will be a lot more added to Network2 over time but here are a couple things I would love to see:Blog/Site widgets that would allow people to put their top ?n? shows on their site?s side rail(similar to the Pandora widget on this site). The ability for people to create and maintain their favorites in their own ?channel? so to speak. However, I suppose you can just subscribe to the shows in a podcatcher and achieve the same result. The ability to tie in a recommendation engine(like amazon?s ?if you liked this than you will like this?). It seems that once some of these tools are built out more people will begin to view internet only TV like they do the ?regular? TV they get from their cable, satellites and TiVo. In fact, TiVo is a podcatching client so why not tie in there as well and let people know they can watch these shows from their TiVo. That would truly blur the lines between internet TV and traditional TV. Due to this added familiarity people would start thinking more seriously about video on the net as an alternative and/or in addition to their usual entertainment since they wouldn?t have to think about the medium to use it. How?s that for mind blowing? " Sources: http://network2.tv/ notinuse 86 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment. Please verify your account to give a compliment.
