Michigan Laws Regarding DHS and Daycare?

Postby warton26 » Mon Nov 21, 2011 5:10 am

I work for a daycare company and we had a staff meeting and the director was talking about how we lost a couple of DHS families but that was okay because they didn't pay much anyways, and she said she was going to raise the prices to match everyone else prices...and I really bothered me because we are in michigan with one of the worst employment percentages ever and she is so worried about making money she doesn't care if she loses these families...I understand wanting to make it fair but the way she shouldn't she plans on more DHS families leaving soon...and I dont know if there is anything that can be done or not...all I know is i was outraged because at least those families are working or going to school trying to make a better life for themselves and they dont get a break at all.

You work for a day care center not a welfare agency. If you don't like the prices take a pay cut before you complain about your employer's billings.
