Mirena (iud) class action lawsuit?

Postby kalvin71 » Fri Apr 08, 2011 4:32 am

Hi, I am a mother of two and since having the mirena put in I have had nothing but problems.
I was in the hospital for almost two weeks for pancreatitus. And many more problems to many to list. I am calling my Ob in the morning and having this removed cant deal with it anymore. And was wondering if there is a class action lawsuit from all these things happening to us women from it.

Honestly I dont think so because they do warn you that there could be side effects...Hence why they go over everything right before putting it in an giving you a pamplet after having it put in.

and for the answerer, not all the severe side effects are mentioned by your doctor, the pamplet, the company's website or even the FDA's website. because over the years they have refused to include these side effects or dangers they are being sued.

in 2008 they were sued because they did not inform doctors that inserting Mirena in 6 week postpartum, breast feeding women increased the chances greatly of perforating the uterus. -which is a life threatening emergency situation.
