Multi State Work And Residency

Postby Bordin » Sat Jun 07, 2014 8:06 pm

s About Taxes)/Multi state work and residency Advertisement Expert: John Stancil, CPA - 9/29/2006 Our company has employees working in 8 different states at this time. Most work in the state they live. But we have a few that work in PA, but live in DE, NY and MD. The employees that live in DE can work in both DE and PA, but the employees that have residency addresses in NY and MD only work in PA. It is correct that they pay the PA income and SUI taxes?

The ones that live in DE I am collecting Delaware Income taxes.

Multi State Work And Residency

Jeanne,

Thanks for your question.

An employee is liable for state taxes in the state in which the income is earned.

I do not know the details of the PA SUI taxes, so I cannot answer that portion of your question.

Hope this helps.
