My knife's trademark and maker?

Postby galvin » Wed Feb 29, 2012 11:42 am

Hi to all,
I'm Pete, and I would like to thank to all of you upfront, for any help that I hope to receive on this topic...

Last week my friend presented me with a birthday gift. It was a small, used hunting knife that he purchased for me a month ago, at one of the local pawn shops...
The knife has a full tang, and its hand made in Japan. It does not look very old, but I would say, that it did go around for Maybe 15-20 years. It has a drop point, hollow grind razor sharp 440 ss blade about 3" 1/2 long, dark hardwood handle about 4" long, thats secured to the tang by 2 steel and brass rivets. The handle butt allows for a lanyard...

Now the symbol: it is a five pointed star with letter "M" in the midle of it, stamped in on the left side of the ricasso... Can anyone tell me anything anout this knife, and/or about its maker?
Thanks again,
Rope

Yonex? Hehe
The user above me is wrong. It has nothing to do with Yonex.

I searched so much, but I couldn't find absolutely anything. Maybe you should try asking this question in another section, because I'm not sure how much tennis fans know about hunting knives.
