the only legal rights you have to live there end when the lease ends. it's council housing for you -- if they have any vacancies.

Afraid you have no choice. With a signed Shorthold tenancy for 6 months, 6 months is it. It doesn't matter that she promised you long term - situations change.

You will have signed a short term tenancy agreement, after 6 months the agreement expires and the landlord can relet at new rent or sell or do what ever he/she wishes with the property.Your deposit will be returned so start looking for a new property.

If the lease ends in 6 months then you have 6 months to find somewhere else to live, you have no rights to stay once the lease is up.I may have not understood your question,if the lease is up in 2 weeks then you have to get out in 2 weeks! You are usually given a 30 day notice to quit an apartment.By the way how could you think it was long term, the landlord only has to wait until the lease ends, then you can be evicted.

When the lease ends you move out, period. You can't force anyone to rent to you, you are not that special.

no, there's nothing you can do. It's her property and she can ask you to leave in accordance with the tenancy. You should get at least 2 months notice. If you were to refuse to move, she would definitely be awarded possession (landlord wanting to move back in is a mandatory ground) and you would be out, with an eviction on your record. Then no-one would rent to you.

you'll get your deposit back, and presumably you sorted out your finances before you got pregnant as it would have been irresponsible to get pregnant otherwise. Bad timing, but your problem, not hers.

start house hunting.

A Landlord can terminate a tenancy on specific grounds, which include:

•Tenant not complying with their obligations(e.g. not paying rent)
• The Landlord wishs to sell the dwelling
• The Landlord requires the dwelling for his own use or for a family member
