My mind is blank! Please help? I'm stuck!?

One of my subjects at college is a creative writing class, and this past week, we've been talking about fan-fictions and how to structure them. Our project is to do a fan fiction based on a book we've read and it can be romance, comedy...anything, really.

I was bit stuck on what to do, seeing as I read a lot but I've never written a fan fiction before or thought about doing so. In the end, I decided to go with the Twilight Saga. I spent ages trying to think of ideas that I could mold together with some of the action in the books, and I decided I was going to focus on the last two books in the series that features the werewolves more.

But, I decided I want my main character to also be something. I don't want her to be a vampire or werewolf, or half-vampire-half-human, half-werewolf-half-human, but I want her to be something. There's going to be a group of girls that are all the same thing, like with the wolf pack...I just don't know what!

Can anyone think of anything? It's really important!

Why don't you throw your self into the story because you acidently stepped in to a worm hole or something that way it would be easier....you kow your characacter because its you and if you want just change the name hope i helped.

Why don't you go for something really out of the way and mythical, like banshees or something? I think that would be really cool as theyre meant to be like super attractive but theyre in actual fact a dark omen. They turn into like old women and things and her cry is so horrible that it deafens people and shatters glass.

There are some good websites, I just typed list of mythical creatures into google, though there are quite a lot so I didn't look at loads haha!
