My Plan to Fix America?

Postby koltin » Fri Oct 28, 2011 9:25 am

I agree with 1 and 8, the rest of those are either stupid or a good way to destroy the economy.

My Plan to Fix America?

I disagree with 3, 6, and 7 (prefer a flat tax with zero deductions). I am all for the rest

My Plan to Fix America?

Postby caffar » Fri Oct 28, 2011 9:52 am

Mostly naive and unworkable:

(2) Better to enforce term limits. Which will seriously constrain lobbyist and limit the influence of big money.

3) read about Carter's attempt to force price-fixing on gas prices. Not to osuccessful - eh? Do have enough confidence that the government is competent enough to control oil production? Not a chance.

4) This does not seem to have worked all the well in Cuba. If you want to improve the economy do the opposite - for two years declare a moratorium on a legal minimum wage. Let the market forces and the individual's employment value work like they are suppose to do.

5) Restore sanity to the federal income tax. Remove all current deductions.

6) Better approach is to allow only four deductions maximum for income taxes. You want more kids - you pay the bills.

7) Throughout history, no nation which is militarily weak has ever been able to enforce peace.

8) Ignore the weed smoking stoner. Capital punishment for those who traffic in recreational pharmaceuticals.

9) This documentary is decent, but also biased. Read about the anticipated pollution levels of the discarded electric vehicle battery systems. In personal transportation there is no free lunch.

10) Israel deserves to exist. This nation is the only functioning democracy in the mideast. The end result is a large amount of turban envy from their Muslim neighbors and the continued Israel-hashing to which you have been exposed.

My Plan to Fix America?

Postby artzai » Fri Oct 28, 2011 9:55 am

May I?
1. Not knowing enough of the Fed Reserve system myself? I say audit the living he-- out of it. Then yank it's ability to print fiat currency. Go back to pre 1964 standards. If, audits show what you say? Then OK. do it. Kill the beast.
2. agree.
3. No no no.....build a refinery for each branch of service. Get them off depending on civilian refineries. Reform what our products are made of. Isn't just cars that suck oil. Look at your clothes and around the house. Oil based all over. Modernize old refineries and build a few new ones. One last. Pick ONE national standard for fuel blends. Then stick to it.Not the near 500 we have now.
4. Ah, difficult. As raising salaries to a living wage also means guaranteeing inflation. Vicious cycle. But, perhaps something can be done? Not closed about it. Just know of no way to avoid price increases
5. As long as exceptions are removed and sneaky back door privileges to shield income are removed? I'd go with that.
6. Me thinks you approach eugenics type thoughts. Might re-think that one.An expanding economy can absorb population growth. Besides? How do you not know somebody won't De-cry that as racist?
7. Cut military to where we are capable of rapid re-arming when needed. Force needs to be large enough to resist and well equipped. Reduce overseas commitments. Yes, audits, and no more mercenaryish contractors. You and I are close.
8. Amen, trillions for what? More of same and Oh, we need to flush more?
9. Hey, what about steam???? I thought the GM electric was a fine idea...But, steam has a place too. Simple, clean, powerful.
10. How about we finally impress upon the folks there that ONE state is it. Now either it's Israel? Or a Palestine. Two state is stupid.... Or, cut it all apart and hand it back to the border states it was carved out of. Or, give it ALL back to the Turks to control. See what we got for Britain playing Imperialist after WWI? A load of BS....Solve it and stop it. Move on...

My Plan to Fix America?

1) I somewhat agree

2) Need a little detail, but not bad...

3) How would that work? It would take away property rights... If oil is on my land, I plan on selling it privately.

4) If your valuable to the work force, then companies will hav no choice but to pay you decently.

5) Definitely don't agree. It would take away people's will to do better. I mean, why would I want to work my a$$ off to make more money, if when I finally peak, 7 out of every 10$ I make will be taken away?

6) yes and no... I do believe we need to think of a way to control population, but I don't think national sterilization is the answer.

7) Cut military spending by 80%, no...not that much... Get out of wars, yes... Implement stricter audits.... yes No more private contractors, no...

8) YES! The government never should of tried to restrict personal freedom... The government could make alot of money off taxing the drugs...

9) Yes and No... There are electric cars for currently for sale. Industries are trying to go green. We can't punish oil companies for selling oil...

10) We shouldn't turn our backs on Israel... They're probable one of our closest allies...
