Need help with client threatning emails?

Postby veto » Thu Mar 08, 2012 12:17 pm

Hi

I completed a website for 1 of my client. Client paid us total of $1800 for the website. Website was originally planned to be done for $3000. but as he paid us less we have not given him few extra pages which were initially discuss because he paid us less

After these $1800 was paid we sent all files to client. After files were sent now client is giving threatning us of taking legal actions and going to law firms and file a suite against me. its a international transaction paid by paypal

Now he has disputed 50% already in paypal and decision is pending with paypal. other half he was not able to dispute because it was paid months before and that paypal was closed

based on my last name he has got the number of my brother and now calling him in my country threatning of taking legal actions and saying that all legal procedding will be on us if he wins the case

I am saying him that we gave you the time to see what things are done in the website before paying us as well as you paid us less so how you can expect full functionality as initially agreed

He has told us that he will pay remaining amount if we give him remaining functionality but i really dont want to work with such irritating client who calls 10 times a day.

Money was never taken by my name and was taken by my friends name..can he take any legal action against my friend?

Please help

anybody can, for anything

you should just write this one off and next time do not do international biz unless it is prepaid, and do local biz with half up front half on completion so you can sue in small claims court
