Neighbor has a vicious dog. What can I do?

Alright so my neighbor has 3 bull mastiffs and a German Shepard, all of which are vicious. As a group they have killed two of our dogs and three of our other neighbor's dogs. They wait in the yard until an unlucky or curious animal gets too close to the fence and they find ways to drag them into the neighbors yard. We have contacted the police twice and they say nothing can be done because the dogs never left their property. We fear the dogs may try to attack a child or more of our beloved animals. There are several holes in the fence which we have asked the neighbors to fix but they ignore. We have patched them as best we could but they are far from safe. We live in Louisiana if the state laws could help in anyway. What can we do because of our neighbor's negligence to fix the problem?

Put up a strong fence on your own property, to be sure to keep these dogs OUT. Never let your dogs run loose. Never let children wander the neighborhood without being carefully watched or attended. Protect yourselves. Don't wait for your useless neighbors to get off their butts and do something. They clearly are NOT going to.

keep your animals and kids away from their property. Thats all you can do. Like you have been told.. your neighbor isn't in the wrong as their dogs have not left the property.

You can really do nothing until a human is bitten or possibly killed. When a person is bit, the dog that bit that person will be put down. You can also contact your local shelter, or animal control, to let them know of these dogs outside abd extremely aggressive.

Instead of police..do you have animal control? these dogs ARE vicious and I am surprised they are still there. They should be euthanized. That's 5 dogs they have killed and nothing has been done. I would contact aspca and th county or city animal control. I would call them every day. Complain. ....the squeaky wheel theory.

i had a similar case and i lost one of my favorite dogs and the police also said the same thing try calling animal control or complain about it to the city?
