Over Prescribed Meds

Is it considered to be malpractice for a doctor to continue to prescribe opiates to a known drug addict(oxycontin / heroin)?  They are aware that the pain management doctor notified the patient that they would no longer be able to prescribe opiates due to recent drug abuse issues(IV drug abuse).

ANSWER: If a doctor prescribes addicting drugs to an addict simply to feed the habit, and not for any legitimate medical reason, it might ...

Soon after the stitches were removed I started bleeding bad one night and noticed the incision had opened halfway. We notified the surgeon but he said nothing to worry about. I went to see him ...

Are There Any Medical Websites For Lay People That Address Weird Or Unusual Medical Reactions/conditions?

I'm looking for a website that regular people can post if they have experienced an unsual side effect or medical condition that they think is related that modern medicine has yet to prove or disprove. That way a person with a similar problem can see if there is any chance that they have the same reaction/problem. For example, if someone started taking medication A and at the same time started having symptom/problem B, and they ...
