Various, from 1,500 to 15,000 a week. Sometimes can be millions if found a right victims that lawsuit worth millions. Sometimes do it for free especially retired lawyer who doing only a favor for their grandchildren who complain about their rights not being fair.

It varies a lot. I'm sure there are many, many PI lawyers out there who are not even breaking even some years. Personal injury is not generally considered to be a lucrative legal field, but top attorneys can earn quite a bit.

How the payment structure is organized depends on the way the firm is structured. Obviously solo attorneys only get paid when the client/defendant/whoever sends a check, but those who work as part of a law firm may have a different payment structure.
