Paralegal Vs Legal Assistant?

My school had me down for a General Studies degree so write when im at 56 credits of me thinking im going to finish my Paralegal degree i find out that i was at the wrong school for it and that i was in the wrong degree :-( so ended up taking 30 credits i didnt need to take and my financial aid cuts off at 80 sooo i was wondering if i could end up being a legal assistant with a general studies degree??

Perhaps you could hunt around for an internship or scholarship money from a law firms, government agencies, hospitals, insurance companies, major corporations, etc. - anyplace that's likely to have a legal department.
