Please help me choose among these 2 LED monitors. Samsung S19A300N & S19B150N?

Postby josephus » Mon May 28, 2012 11:48 pm

I did some research about both .. the S19B... is a newer model than S19A.. (ie B series is newer than A) .. but when I compared the specs.. almost all are same except viewing angle of S19A300N is 170/160 and that of S19B150N is 90/65..
Also brightness of S19A300N is 250 cd/m2 but that of S19B150N is 200 cd/m2.. how important is that?

I dont know if other specifications are significant so I am adding a link of the comparison of their specs..

Please help me choose one and the reasons for the same..

I am new to this concept of viewing angle...So does this mean newer model S19B150 has lesser range of angles from which i can see? So am I better off with older model (S19A300?).. but this sounds weird ..right? A newer model has poorer features?

Pls tell me which one I should choose.. I coudnt trust my facts and so decision... so i put the qstn here to confirm. Both are around same price..

here is the comparison of their specs.

http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0384780

$400 for 2560x1440, S-IPS, wide gamut, true 8 bit panel (achieves 10 bit similar to how crappy TN panels achieve 8 bit)
It's basically the same as the ever popular Yamakasi Catleap import, or the $900 Dell equivalent.

You will NOT ever get a better monitor for the price. Unless you get the five finger discount.

Edit: 2nd monitor has much better picture quality. 90 degree viewing angle is bad even for a TN panel, don't pay over $10 for that first one lol.
