Please help! !!! Need to find lawyer?

Postby burt » Sat Apr 02, 2011 6:10 am

I don't know exactly how much information you guys need to help me but; I had a surgery done by a doctor (doctor advised that I needed the surgery ) & now I am disabled for life
I already had a disability but I developed a condition after the surgery & now I'm A LOT worse off than I am before. Is there a way to find a good medical malpractice lawyer that will ONLY TAKE PAYMENT IF I WIN. I cannot work due to my disablilty and just recivied ssd recently. So I pretty much need to find a GOOD medical malpractice attorney in VA. Is there a way to judge how good they are or look at their record of wins etc....

Well, it appears that you can type. What's stopping you from becoming a secretary, or telemarketer?

Or would you rather just live off the system?

Your state's bar association website has a lawyer referral service. Tell them you need a lawyer with medical malpractice experience. You will be given the name of a lawyer (or maybe two). When you make an appointment, you will pay a token amount ($25 or so) for about 30 minutes consultation.

If the attorney offers a contingency contract - meaning they get paid only when you when and collect from the defendant - it means that the attorney believes that you have a winnable case against a defendant with assests sufficient to pay a judgment.

If you are not offered a contingency contract, it means that it is time to move on with your life.
