Question about my lucid dreams?

Postby fiynn » Mon Dec 19, 2011 2:12 pm

I get these lucid dreams that seem abnormal even in the lucid dream standards. I was wondering if anyone else experiences them or you know of dreams to these intensities.
I have intractable insomnia but when I sleep it is almost always a lucid dream. I never taught myself how to do so.
When I lucid dream I am aware that I am dreaming but can only control my actions and when I wake up. I can explore places but I can't make them or anything appear.
When I get attacked in my dreams, like for example I get slammed against the wall, I can feel it exactly like if someone actually did that to me in real life. Sometimes they get so scary and I'm about to get seriously hurt I have to force myself awake, which with insomnia is not something you want to do.
I can also taste things, even stuff that I've never had before in my life.
I also read a lot. Like I dream of reading books that I've never heard of. A couple nights ago I dreamt of reading my email, which was a completely logical reply from a online class I'm taking.
I also get sleep paralysis and sometimes hallucinate voices from it and it confuses me because I can't tell if I'm dreaming or awake.
My dreams are so real that I feel like I'm in a different universe. I can feel, taste, smell, etc. and it's really interesting but scary since sometimes the people act malicious.
Have you ever heard of dreams like this? Is there anything I can do to make them more interesting or less scary? I believe that some dreams have meaning to them so if you have any of that type of information relevant I would appreciate that too.
Thanks for reading.

Question about my lucid dreams?

Postby dallen47 » Mon Dec 19, 2011 2:14 pm

I don't have dreams quite like these, but often I experience a weird state of being half-awake where my thoughts are controlled and yet.. I'm unaware of them until I wake up and form more intentional thoughts about them.

Dreams creep me out.
