Russel Pearce, Jan Brewer, Joe Arpaio, Tea-Baggers, Ignorant People or Racist?

In response to attacks she's received from some members of the anti-SB 1070 crowd who have suggested that Arizona's controversial immigration law is similar to what went on in Nazi Germany. In response, Brewer is quoted as saying "knowing that my father died fighting the Nazi regime in Germany, that I lost him when I was 11 because of that ... and then to have them call me Hitler's daughter. It hurts. It's ugliness beyond anything I've ever experienced." But in reality, he died in California 10 years after the war ended, Jan's dad never even left U.S. soil during WWII.

Most people who insult Mexico or look down on it do it out of ignorance because they don't know any better. It doesn't matter how much news they watch or how much they read on it, they will never know the true essence of Mexico until they experience it first hand. The current feeling's expressed by tea-baggers and the Arizona "show me your papers" law are due to fear (mostly brought by the hard economic times, or worse "racism") and ignorance. Attitudes based on fear and ignorance are a problem worldwide, actions based on them are worse. There are closed-minded people everywhere. People who have preconceptions that they feel comfortable with and refuse to listen to anyone who contradicts there ideas with facts.

Mexico is more then just violence, drugs, and corruption. Mexico is always being shown as bad in the news, everyone sees the US/Mexico border and thinks that's how all of Mexico is, which is not just go further down past the border and you'll see a whole different perspective. Mexicans are amazing people, but sadly they are discriminated, not all Mexicans are the same, you cant blame everyone over something that someone did.

Take into fact, that Americans treat Mexicans as aliens or a threat, really? If Mexicans were that then why haven't they attacked the US or done a terrorist crime, Americans should be more worried about others like the Middle East.

you have NO idea of the statistics of illegals verses legals or citizens,.

Legally entering muslims committed terrorist attacks on our land and against our "citizens AND illegal aliens". They went through the right channels and paid more than others applying to enter this country to expedite their visas. They even renewed 1 to 2 times within their time here.

Go to your states statistics or the federal statistics on prisons on criminal activities for your state. They will even have them by race and sex. Less than 12% of all violent crimes in this country are committed by those of hispanic descent. The majority of that 12% are in those states that have a high concentration of hispanic residents, California, Arizona, and Texas. New Mexico and Nevada have a percentage equal to the national average. In my state and those along the area where I live we have less than 2% of prisoners are other than black or white. Those that have committed violent crimes as you have listed are in that 2%. Most of those of hispanic descent that are listed in the local and state data base, here, have been convicted of repeat offenses of driving with invalid license (which means expired and with the new law that was implemented of those that do not have legal status can not renew their licenses - dumbest law to me, as an insurance agent) or by habeaus corpus, or failure to appear because of a lesser charge or past minor violation. Ooooooh, they are just soooooo vicious?
In other words, if you are trying to discredit all illegals by your false accusations, you need to make sure in the future you know what you are talking about and have the info to back it up, like myself.

Do your own search for your state by putting your states name in the space plus -crime statistics as well as doing a search for your states prison statistics.

I know I will get a lot of thumbs down because none of you will actually look for the facts and would rather rule your decisions with fear and ignorance and try to get others to follow your lead. Hey, misery loves company and so does ignorance. That thought process is what has us in this predicament as we speak.

You constantly talk a good talk but you, like thousands of other Americans, have only been to the border or tourist areas. You have no real idea how life is in Mexico, or Central, or South America. You base your statement on propaganda and what you see from the outside. We Americans say we don't care what other countries think of us, but secretly we do. Statements like many of those above about a group of people they have no idea about other than what they see or read on the media, which is what causes the distrust and misunderstandings.

I totally agree with all of the statements above. What is portrayed in the news really is causing this negative connotation surrounding the NATIONALITY "Mexican". I don't think Joe Arpaio and Jan Brewer are racists but a lot of people can presume that based on the predominant hispanic population (which I think is arousing all the "racist" accusations) because there are just as many undocumented immigrants in the North, east and west United States. If they enable this instrument to racial profile brown people here in Arizona, then I think they should also do it in California, Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota and so on. I see a lot of Mexican crimes in the news but that's only because we're in Arizona. if you travel to Kansas, perhaps you are more likely to see more whites in the media committing crimes. Plus there are so many Mexicans here because this once was or territory, so border patrol can't run us all out of the US. I cannot stand Joe Arpaio's discriminatory ways, especially when he "sweeps" so many brown people and finds out that the majority if them are here Legal.

Mexico is a third world country, lost in its own ignorance and gold digging culture....

as far as your "media" garbage......I have not watched a television in over 10 years....I could give a rats patooty about "problems" in mexico......I do know that they have violated our laws, borders, lifestyles by bringing their degenerate attitudes here.....

I have worked with enough "mexicans" in the automotive industry to know what "messico" is about.....they are here for a reason and it is not to become americans.....they have thier own agenda's dude......

the only decent/appealing mexican in mexico are the ones who clean up my dining table in a classy american run/owned business in mexico.....

mexico should just face the fact that one day they could make a good tourist attraction.....they dont amount to much else and even they know that.

You wouldn't know a true patriot if she sat on your head.

I don't want to know about Mexico, I have seen enough of their citizens, their criminality, and boorish behavior. I did not invite them. They were only here as guest workers. They are the worst guests you could imagine.

I'm not going to read all that. Bottom line is illegals should not be here. They should just come here legally. 1000's do it every year...so yes, it is possible to do.

So how many times are you going to rewrite & post this question? until you get enough people that agree with you?

Then again I've been to Mexico many times and not just the tourist areas and you're assuming many haven't but, until the people of Mexico stand up to the corruption in their government and get rid of their lax attitudes, nothing will change as the welfare of their country is in THEIR HANDS, not ours.

I can't believe that you used the term "teabagger" and then had the nerve to call other people ignorant
