in medical malpractice actions.

Sally's best friend Molly invites her to lunch one day. While at lunch, Molly bursts into tears and explains that she believes her doctor made a terrible mistake during her recent knee surgery. Since the surgery, Molly has barely been able to stand or walk, despite extensive physical therapy. Molly states that she wants to sue the doctor and hospital for malpractice. She asks Sally for her opinion as to whether or not she has a good case, and for the deadline to file a case against the doctor and hospital. Molly further explains that she does not have any money for an attorney, so she plans to file the complaint herself. She only wants Sally to help her "behind the scenes" by just answering some basic questions and helping her prepare the required forms for court. Sally has been working on malpractice cases for more than a decade, and wants to help her friend.
