so what is the big deal? not innovative in any way, just him pushing for more news coverage. An unqualified sheriff but a top media wh*re.
In case you do not know those in jail are there for less than a year and most are there only because they cannot make bail.
Our state DOC, which runs prisons, not jails, has had long term prisoners training aid dogs for years. The kind of dog that turns on lights, senses problems, etc for disabled and the kind that act as companion for vets with PTSD.

I'm sure as soon as the good sheriff reads about that he will claim to be the first to help vets.
He is an embarrassment to all sheriffs who try to do a job adn all real LEO's.
