Investigation of Arpaio's top aides costs taxpayers $102,000

n internal investigation of three of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's top commanders has cost the public $102,000.

The county Board of Supervisors on Wednesday morning unanimously agreed to reimburse Pinal County for the investigation, which was conducted by Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu on behalf of Arpaio.

Deputy Maricopa County Manager Sandi Wilson said the county might have to pay more if invoices continue to arrive.

The tab so far totals more than $5.6 million, most of that spent on legal costs tied to more than a dozen lawsuits between the Board of Supervisors and Arpaio and former Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas.

It's amazing this man still has a job.

I think you need to work on your reading comprehension skills.

It isn't Joe Arpaio who is spending that money. It is the board of supervisors and Sandi Wilson who are agreeing to this.
