Should I pay my ticket or take it to court?

Postby lintun » Sat Jul 28, 2012 11:03 pm

i got pulled over on friday night (July 28, 2012) for a Speed/Care Required. thats what it saids on the ticket and its 30 dollars... by the way the speed limit was 35. what the citation is, is that she told me she knew i was going fast but she did NOT clock me on her radar. so i was thinking why not take it to court because she has absolutely no proof that i was going fast. she asked me how fast i was going and i told her maybe 40-45Mph. please give me some advise. and also if you have any advise on how i should battle it out in court please help me out

I'd rather not go to court just cause of 30 dollars they're gonna make you pay either way cause of the government bs and stuff and if u dont want to pay at all they're gonna make you do community service.

It's $30, is it worth you're time to fight it in court?

Really i would just pay it because i mean more likely you would lose it, but you might win cause they didn't clock you, but out of all honesty just pay it and naked sure you slow down next time.

If you go to court you WILL LOSE...The cop can/will testify "YOU" admitted you where speeding by stating you were going 40-45 when asked in a 35nph zone. "If You Had Said "NOTHING" you could have beaten it. If you" try" to testify that the cop said she did not clock you, the DA will "OBJECT" stating "HEARSAY" the judge will Sustain the objection and "DISALLOW" your statement.
Then you will have court costs as well as the $30 ticket. Pay the $30 and next time, BY LAW...You are not "Required" to say "ONE SINGLE WORD TO ANY POLICE OFFICER FOR "ANY" REASON".
The 5th Amendment of "OUR CONSTITUTION" is on you side "IF YOU SAY "NOTHING"!!! "AND I MEAN "NOTHING"!!!

You already told the officer that you were doing somewhere between 40-45mph. You can't change it now. That is all noted. Just pay your fine and watch the speed limit(s) next time.

You were going too fast - that is why you were pulled over. Take your lumps like a man and slow down in the future. Going too fast can get you more than tickets.
