Should I report him to the police, I'm really scared of him?

Postby thom » Tue Jul 31, 2012 2:31 am

Well, there is this kid that keeps stalking me, specifically when I am outside in the yard, and he will ride his bicycle up and down the street several times, and when he sees me within looking distance, he rides very slow, in some instances, he will tell me how good I look and If I need anything let him know .Obviously, I know it’s because he likes me but it’s starting to scare me. He is starting to do it daily now, and he told my friend that lives on his block on the next street that he is in love with me, and needs me. I don’t even talk to him, plus I haven’t said more than 3 words to him the entire time he has passed by my house, maybe “hi,” or when he asks me how I am doing said “good” Yesterday he really creeped me out, when I was going to leave for work, I saw a necklace on the side mirror of my car with a note that stated “I love you, and you will be mine very soon, you just won’t know it, not yet anyway.” My first reaction was I was kind of shocked, but didn’t right away consider that he would trespass on my property and come in my yard. Today, I have the day off of work, and earlier I heard the phone ring, and I knew it was him because I could recognize his voice, and he just said “I hope you like the necklace, I love you and I will have you one way or another.” I responded and told him I was going to call the police, if he didn’t stop, but he had hung up already. According, to my friend she said she has talked to him before and says he seems like he has some serious mental issues, and always talks about my looks and body. Since he is a kid, he seems to be 13, 14 or 15; in the age range of a very young teenage boy anyway, can the police really do anything? What should I do?

You must speak to the police say to them that it is scareing you the thought that you have no idea what this boy may do to you and that he stalking you the can sometimes have a restraining order put on him but it depends on how bad they consider the case of stalking!!

Report him. It doesn't matter how young he is if he is stalking you then they can do something about it. Just have all the info on how he is making you uncomfortable and they will help you.

Report him to the police!
Not sure how the law works where you are but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get a restraining order or something on him for your own protection & peace of mind :)

Yes, call the police to report it. You should also make sure you check around your property for any 'easy' access points into your home and get them corrected if you find any and make sure you are extra aware of your surroundings. Tell others about it so they can be alert for you.

His calling you and leaving you gifts and notes is a sign that he's not right and this is the dangerous type, because it just seems creepy, but it can turn very dangerous. Keep reporting each incident and I would also call and speak with his parents and give them specific information.

Heather, if this boy is scaring you in any way, you have to report it! First, to his parents and see what they can do about it. If that dosn't work, go right to the police. They will help you. Especially if he has mental issues. That's scary stuff!
