Should school officials who refuse to report its finding of illegal immigrants be prosecuted under the law?

Public school officials will be required to ask students to produce birth certificates to prove U.S. citizenship, or whether they are the child of illegal residents. Parents can be asked to sign a declaration of legal residency and schools must report those findings to Alabama’s board of education

Heck yes. I wish they would do that over here in California. I wish that the whole of America would see that we need to return to conservative values because they work. We cannot continue with liberal policies. If you like more government all you have to do is look at hitler and then you will see what I mean.

I would say that they should. Illegally entering the country is a felony and the cost of education is borne by the local school districts not the Obama Government who has been importing new voters. As a parent with a child in school, I have to pay a large property tax bill to support the schools and yet the schools are strapped for funds and kids must now pay to participate in extra curricular activities. I cannot pay for illegals to enter the country and suck the life out of our public schools. Obama may think this is part of his greater plan but it affects my family. Any school administrator who fails to comply with the law should be arrested and/or removed from his position. They are supposed to be implementing our school plan, not some international program in small town Alabama. I have to prove my residence a couple dozen times a year and in some cases must prove my citizenship to get so much as a driver's license (Patriot Act). I am OK with that, so how can illegals just wander around, absorbing public services and yet not be citizens. My family came to America as immigrants, but they came legally as did most others until Obama decided that we are supposed to finance his new voter base.

Um errrm ahem...

Did you ever hear of CHIP-Perinatal?

A government FREE health care program to pay for pregnant ILLEGAL ALIENS to have their anchor babies with the best health care money can buy?

It says RIGHT THERE on their insurance card that they are illegal immigrants.

THE GOVERNMENT KNOWS THEY ARE HERE. THE GOVERNMENT KNOWS WHO THEY ARE. AND THE GOVERNMENT GLADLY PAYS FOR THEIR MEDICAL CARE.

That's YOUR tax money going to pay for the birth of anchor babies, including prenatal care for anchor babies who are NOT EVEN BORN YET.

Does the Fourteenth Amendment guarantee citizenship to persons BEFORE they are born on U.S. soil????? As if the life of an anchor baby starts at conception, but not the baby of a legal citizen because she can get an abortion.

Alan Turing you say it is to much for schools, but not to much for business who must do the governments job for them. I dis agree with you they should be required just as a police officer who stops someone for a violation of the law and finds them to be illegal should be required to arrest and turn that person over to ICE. Illegals should then be placed on a plan back to there country where there hearing can be held if it is found that they should be here we can pay the return air fair.

Yes. I had to spend a considerable amount of time registering my kids just to prove they lived in the right district. Employers can be prosecuted and they require less documentation. Schools should be held to the same standard. At least.

When A Backward old Confederate state pushes a law that goes against the federal government. I Ithink the federal government should go after state officials that enacted the state law.
